Introduction to TOPIK Registration Number
It is a short string of digits in an email, and it is easy to lose. Yet the TOPIK registration number does three jobs that matter. It identifies your application with the organiser. It is the main reference for your exam. And months later, it is one of the details you need to look up your score and print your certificate on the official TOPIK website.
For applicants of the 109th TOPIK in Nepal, the number has been the topic of the week. The official TOPIK Nepal announcement, posted in English and Nepali, said registration numbers would be sent by email to the address each applicant used when applying, by the end of the week of 30 October 2026. It asked people to check their inbox and spam folder, and not to message asking for the number before the stated time.
This guide explains what the number is, how it reaches you, what to do if it has not arrived, how to use it on results day, and how to keep it safe. It also separates the registration number from other numbers that are easy to confuse with it. Toddle is not the organiser of TOPIK in Nepal and does not handle registrations. For any decision about your exam, rely on the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal and the official TOPIK Nepal page.

What the 109th TOPIK Announcement Says
The notice makes four points:
- The registration number will be emailed to the address used in your application.
- Applicants should check the inbox and also the spam or junk folder.
- Applicants are asked not to email or message requesting the number before the stated time, to keep sending quick and smooth.
- After all emails are sent, the team will post an update on the official Facebook page.

What a TOPIK Registration Number Is, and Is Not
The word “number” appears in several places in the TOPIK process, and people mix them up. Here is how they differ.
| Number | What it is | Who issues it | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Registration number (수험번호) | Identifies your TOPIK application and exam seat | TOPIK organiser | Exam arrangements and, later, looking up results and certificates |
| Application or form confirmation | A message or reference showing your form was received | TOPIK Nepal | Proof that you applied |
| Payment reference | A bank or wallet transaction ID | Your bank or payment provider | Proof that you paid |
| Passport or citizenship number | Your identity document number | Government | Identity check on exam day, where the organiser requires it |
| Test round | The number of the exam session, such as 제109회 (109th) | NIIED | Selecting the right session on the results page |
| Alien Registration Number | A foreigner’s registration number in Korea | Korean immigration | Residence in Korea. Unrelated to TOPIK registration |
Two clarifications help. First, the registration number is not your TOPIK level or score. It does not tell anyone how you performed. Second, it is not the same as the round number. “109” is the session. Your registration number is personal to you.
For TOPIK in Korea, NIIED’s system generates the number after online registration, and overseas applicants follow the method of their local administering institution. That is why Nepal has its own process, run by the Embassy and TOPIK Nepal, and why the steps you read about for other countries may not match yours.
Why You Must Keep It Safe
Job one: identifying your application
The number ties your name, level and details to a single record with the organiser. If there is ever a question about your registration, the number is the fastest way to point to the right record.
Job two: exam arrangements
The organiser decides how the number is used on exam day, such as for room allocation or entry checks, and communicates that in its instructions. The announcement does not describe exam-day use in detail, so follow whatever the organiser sends. Keep the number accessible, both on your phone and on paper, and bring it if the instructions ask for it.
Job three: results and certificates
This is the job people forget. On the official TOPIK website, the score check page (성적확인) asks for the exam type, your examination number (the same 수험번호), the test round and your date of birth. Once your result is out, you can look it up and print the score certificate yourself.
TOPIK scores are valid for two years from the score announcement date. After that window closes, the score cannot be looked up or reprinted online. For the 109th TOPIK, results are scheduled for 22 December 2026, so your window runs from then for two years.
That makes the registration number a small piece of paperwork with a long life. If you lose it in 2027 and need your certificate for a university or visa application, you will wish you had written it down.
How the Number Reaches You in Nepal
The process in Nepal is set by the Embassy and TOPIK Nepal, not by the main TOPIK website. Official Embassy notices for recent sessions show the pattern. The 106th TOPIK notice in 2026, for example, said:
- Applications were online, with the procedure posted on TOPIK Nepal’s Facebook page.
- Applications opened at a set time, 10:00 on the first day, and would not be accepted before.
- Registration could close early if maximum capacity was reached, and no additional applications were accepted after the period.
- Fees were NPR 3,000 for TOPIK I and NPR 3,500 for TOPIK II.
- Payment was to be done only after the registration confirmation email was sent by TOPIK Nepal.
- Results were announced on the TOPIK website.
You can read that Embassy notice to see how the process was described.
For the 109th TOPIK, registration ran online from 3 to 7 August 2026, 10:00 to 16:00 Nepal Time, and the detailed procedure was published through the TOPIK Nepal Facebook page. The registration-number email is the step that followed. Because the 109th procedure is the one that applies to you, follow its instructions exactly. If your steps differ from the 106th, the 109th instructions win.
A typical sequence, with where each step is confirmed
| Step | What happens | Confirmed for the 109th? |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Registration window | Online form during a fixed window | Yes: 3 to 7 August 2026 |
| 2. Form submission | You submit details, level and email | Follow the 109th procedure on the official page |
| 3. Confirmation | You may receive a confirmation message | Check your own email trail |
| 4. Payment | Pay as instructed. In the 106th notice, only after the confirmation email | Follow the 109th procedure |
| 5. Registration number | Emailed to your application email | Yes, per the notice (end of week of 30 October) |
| 6. Exam | 15 November 2026 | Yes |
| 7. Results | 22 December 2026 on the TOPIK website | Yes |
If you paid at a different point than the instructions said, keep your payment proof and ask the organiser how to proceed. Do not pay again unless the organiser tells you to.
If You Have Received Your Number
Do these five things today.
- Check the details. Confirm your name spelling, level (TOPIK I or II), date of birth and email match your application and your ID. A mismatch is easier to fix now than on exam day.
- Save it in three places. Keep the email, take a screenshot and write the number on paper.
- Create a TOPIK folder. Store the number, your payment proof and any organiser messages together, on your phone and in a cloud folder you can access later.
- Do not share it publicly. Do not post it on social media or in public groups.
- Add the key dates to your calendar. Exam day on 15 November, results on 22 December and the two-year validity end date.
If You Have Not Received It
First, a calming fact: a missing email usually has a simple cause. Work through the list in order.
Step 1: Search properly
- Search your email for “TOPIK”, “registration” and the sender’s name if you know it.
- Check spam, junk, promotions, updates, social and trash folders.
- Check any other email accounts you might have used, including a school or work address.
Step 2: Confirm you are checking the right account
The number goes to the email address in your application. A typo, an old address or a similar-looking address are common causes. If you typed the address by hand, compare it carefully with what you remember using.
Step 3: Look at the official page
The notice said the team would post an update after all emails were sent. Check the official TOPIK Nepal page for that update. If the update says emails have been sent and you still have nothing, move to the next step. If there is no update yet, give it a little time rather than sending repeated messages.
Step 4: Check your application history
Look for earlier emails or messages from the process: a submission acknowledgement, a confirmation email or payment proof. If you cannot find any trace of your application, tell the organiser that in your message so they can search for you.
Step 5: Send one clear message
If the page says all emails have been sent and your search found nothing, write to the organiser through the contact given in the official notice. The Embassy’s 106th notice listed topiknepal01@gmail.com for inquiries, but confirm the contact in the 109th notice or on the official page before using it.
Keep your message short and complete. Here is a template:
Subject: 109th TOPIK registration number not received: [Your full name]
Dear TOPIK Nepal team,
I applied for the 109th TOPIK ([TOPIK I / TOPIK II]) using the email address [your email]. I have checked my inbox and spam folders but have not found my registration number.
My details: full name [as in application], date of birth [DD/MM/YYYY], phone [number], payment reference [if any].
Please let me know how I can receive my registration number. Thank you.
What not to do
- Do not apply or pay a second time unless the organiser tells you to.
- Do not send the same message many times or through many channels.
- Do not accept help from anyone who offers a “number” for a fee.
- Do not give your passwords or bank details to anyone claiming to help.
Common reasons the number may be delayed
| Possible reason | What it means | What helps |
|---|---|---|
| Email in spam or junk | Filters sometimes catch bulk mail | Search all folders |
| Wrong or mistyped email | The number went to another address | Contact the organiser with your details |
| Application incomplete | A step was missed in the process | Check your application trail and ask |
| Payment not matched | The system could not match your payment | Send your payment proof |
| Sending in batches | Large applicant numbers are emailed over time | Check the official page for the update |
| Mailbox full or blocked | The message bounced | Free space and check settings |
If Your Details Are Wrong
Mistakes happen, and the best time to fix them is early.
- Name. Your name should match your ID. The NIIED plan says test takers without the required ID cannot take the test, and for overseas tests NIIED’s regulation says the ID should include a photo, English name and birth date. If your registered name differs from your ID, tell the organiser straight away.
- Date of birth. Your date of birth is used with your registration number to look up results, so an error can cause trouble later.
- Level. If you registered for the wrong level, tell the organiser through the official channel. Whether changes are possible depends on the organiser’s rules and timing, so do not assume.
- Email. If your email is wrong or inaccessible, contact the organiser early. Without a working email, you may miss instructions.
Toddle’s guide to TOPIK I versus TOPIK II is worth reading if you are not sure you registered for the right level for your goal.
Registration Number and Exam Day
The Nepal exam for the 109th TOPIK is on Sunday, 15 November 2026, at St. Mary’s Secondary School, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, according to the announced venue. Published session times are:
| TOPIK I | TOPIK II | |
|---|---|---|
| Enter by | 09:10 | 12:20 |
| Starts | 09:40 | 12:50 |
| Ends | 11:20 | 16:20 |
NIIED’s 2026 plan sets rules that apply to everyone:
- A person who does not bring the required ID cannot take the test.
- Test takers cannot enter the test room after the notified entry time.
- Communication and electronic devices must be switched off and handed over before the first session.
- PBT answer sheets must be completed with the marking pen provided by the supervisor.
Bring your registration number in the form the organiser asks for, together with your original ID. If the organiser sends separate room or entry instructions, those take priority over any general summary. Room numbers were not published in the original notice, so wait for the organiser’s final instructions before you travel.
Using the Number on Results Day
Results for the 109th TOPIK are scheduled for 22 December 2026. Here is how the registration number comes back into play.
- Go to the official TOPIK website, topik.go.kr.
- Open the score check page (성적확인).
- Select the exam type, the test round (제109회) and enter your registration number (수험번호).
- Enter your date of birth as the page requests.
- View your result. If you need a certificate, use the certificate printing option (증명서출력).
Certificates
NIIED’s 2026 plan says the score certificate is issued through the website and is not sent by post, fax or email, except that overseas administering institutions may receive one copy per test taker on request. In practice, most people print or save their own certificate from the website within the validity window.
If the page says “no data found”
- Check that you selected the right test round and exam type.
- Re-enter the number carefully, without spaces or extra characters.
- Check your date of birth entry.
- Make sure results have actually been released, because the page will not show data before the announcement.
- If it still fails, contact the organiser with your details and a screenshot of the error.
The two-year rule
TOPIK scores are valid for two years from the score announcement date. If you need your result for an application, check the institution’s deadline and the validity window well before you submit. After expiry, neither a lookup nor a reprint is possible online.
Keep a TOPIK File for Every Attempt
Many candidates sit TOPIK more than once. Each attempt has its own round and registration number, so mixing them up is easy. A simple record avoids that.
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Round | 109th |
| Date | 15 November 2026 |
| Level taken | TOPIK I or II |
| Registration number | (your number) |
| Date of birth used | (as registered) |
| Result announced | 22 December 2026 |
| Score and level | (when known) |
| Certificate saved | Yes/No, location |
| Validity ends | 22 December 2028 (check the exact rule) |
Store this table in a notes app and in a cloud folder. When you apply to a university, a scholarship or a visa programme years later, you will be able to retrieve the right record in minutes.
Why the Score Matters After You Get It
Your registration number gets you to your result, and your result opens doors. A few examples, all of which depend on the specific institution or rule:
- University admission. Many Korean-taught programmes ask for TOPIK Level 3 or 4, though requirements vary by university and department.
- Student visas. On 7 October 2026, Korea’s Ministry of Justice announced plans that include a financial-proof exemption for students with TOPIK Level 4 or KIIP Level 4. These are announced plans, so confirm before you rely on them. Toddle’s article on Korea student visa new rules follows the changes.
- Part-time work. Permitted weekly hours for international students depend on visa type and TOPIK level, and a permit is required. Toddle’s guide to part-time jobs for foreign students in Korea explains the practical side, and HiKorea has the official rules.
Not the Same as EPS-TOPIK Numbers
Many Nepali applicants also sit EPS-TOPIK, the exam used to rank job seekers for E-9 work visas. It is a separate exam, run by a different system. Registration for EPS-TOPIK in Nepal goes through the Department of Foreign Employment’s EPS Korea Section, with its own notices, form and slips. Your TOPIK registration number does not apply there, and an EPS-TOPIK number does not apply to TOPIK.
If you are planning both, keep the records separate. Toddle’s article on the EPS-TOPIK 2026 exam schedule explains the EPS timeline.
Scams and Privacy: Protect Your Number
Exam periods attract fake pages, fake messages and people looking to profit from stress. Some simple rules help.
| Risk | Protect yourself |
|---|---|
| Fake pages claiming to be TOPIK Nepal | Follow only the official page named in the notice and the Embassy’s notices |
| Offers to sell a registration number, a seat or a “guaranteed” score | Do not pay. Registration numbers are issued by the organiser, not sold |
| Messages asking for passwords, bank details or one-time codes | Never share them. The organiser does not need them to send a number |
| Links in unexpected emails | Do not click. Go to the official page directly |
| Public posts with your number and ID | Avoid posting them. Anyone could misuse your details |
| Requests to pay again | Verify with the organiser through the official page first |
The organiser asked applicants not to message early, so a flood of “please send my number” posts is not helpful. Patience is part of the process.
Preparing for the Exam and the Next Attempt
A registration number is the paperwork. The score is the work. If you are sitting the 109th, the final days are best used for timed practice and calm. If you are planning the next attempt, start with a gap analysis: which section held you back, and what level do you need?
Toddle’s guide on how to prepare for TOPIK I gives a checklist for the beginner exam, and Toddle lists the book Sok Sok TOPIK II Vocabulary among its resources for the intermediate and advanced exam. If you want structured classes, read Toddle’s overview of Korean language classes in Nepal, and keep an eye on the Toddle notice board for class updates. Notices about TOPIK dates, venue, ID, fees or registration numbers always come from the Embassy and TOPIK Nepal, not from Toddle.
Nepal’s next TOPIK session had not been announced when we checked. Watch the official page, and do not assume that a past session’s venue, fee or procedure will apply to the next one.
Plan Your Korean Journey With Toddle
If TOPIK is part of a bigger plan, such as a Korean university, a language course or work in Korea, it helps to choose your level and timeline on purpose. Toddle, a Korean and Japanese language institute and study-abroad counselling company in Hetauda since 2018, helps Nepali learners plan the path from first Korean class to visa and departure. It lists TOPIK I and II classes, a dedicated TOPIK page and a seven-level Korean course, with books included in the fee according to its website.
- Visit Toddle’s TOPIK page to see the classes and levels.
- Book a free counselling session to plan your target level, next attempt and study route.
Message Toddle on WhatsApp: +977 976-9741767
You can also call +977 57-525392 or visit Toddle at School Road, Hetauda-4, Makwanpur. Please remember that Toddle cannot issue, resend or recover a TOPIK registration number. For that, contact the organiser through the official channel.
Frequently Asked Questions about TOPIK Registration Number
1. What is a TOPIK registration number?
It is the number the organiser assigns to your TOPIK application. On the TOPIK website it appears as “Registration No.” and in Korean as 수험번호. You use it, with your date of birth and the test round, to look up your score.
2. Who gives me the registration number in Nepal?
The organiser, TOPIK Nepal, under the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal. Toddle does not issue or recover registration numbers.
3. How will I receive it for the 109th TOPIK?
By email, to the address you used in your application, according to the official announcement. The notice said it would be sent by the end of the week of 30 October 2026.
4. I have not received my number. What should I do?
Search your inbox and spam, check you are using the right email account, look for the update on the official TOPIK Nepal page, and if the update says emails have been sent, write one clear message to the organiser.
5. Can I ask for my number before the deadline?
The notice asked applicants not to email or message requesting the number before the stated time. After the time has passed and the official update is posted, one polite message is reasonable.
6. Where will updates be posted?
On the official TOPIK Nepal Facebook page, after all emails have been sent, according to the notice.
7. Is the registration number the same as my application number?
Not necessarily. An application or form confirmation shows your form was received, while the registration number is the identifier used for your exam record and results. Follow the organiser’s wording for your session.
8. Is it the same as the test round number?
No. The round (for example, 109th or 제109회) is the exam session. The registration number is personal to you.
9. Do I need the number on exam day?
Bring it if the organiser’s instructions ask for it, together with your original ID. The announcement does not describe exam-day use in detail, so follow the organiser’s final instructions.
10. Do I need it to check my results?
Yes. The TOPIK score check page asks for the exam type, your examination number (registration number), the test round and your date of birth.
11. When are the 109th TOPIK results?
22 December 2026, announced through the TOPIK website according to NIIED’s plan.
12. How do I print my certificate?
Use the certificate printing option on topik.go.kr after your result appears. The certificate is issued through the website, not sent by post, fax or email.
13. How long is my score valid?
Two years from the score announcement date. After that, the result cannot be looked up or reprinted online.
14. What if I lose my registration number?
Search your email first. If you cannot find it, contact the organiser through the official channel with your full name, date of birth, level and the email you used. Do not pay anyone to retrieve it.
15. The website says “no data found”. What now?
Check the test round, exam type, number and date of birth, and make sure results have been released. If it still fails, contact the organiser with a screenshot.
16. What if my name on the registration differs from my ID?
Tell the organiser as soon as possible. NIIED’s plan says candidates without the required ID cannot take the test, and for overseas tests the ID should show a photo, English name and birth date.
17. Can I change my level after registering?
Whether changes are possible depends on the organiser’s rules and timing. Contact the organiser through the official channel early.
18. Should I pay again if I never got a confirmation?
No, not unless the organiser tells you to. Keep your payment proof and ask how to proceed. The Embassy’s 106th notice said payment should be made only after the registration confirmation email, so follow the 109th instructions.
19. Can anyone sell me a registration number or a seat?
No. Registration numbers are issued by the organiser. Anyone selling numbers, seats or guaranteed scores is not legitimate.
20. Is my TOPIK registration number the same as my EPS-TOPIK number?
No. TOPIK and EPS-TOPIK are separate exams with separate registration systems and records.
21. Is the registration number my TOPIK score?
No. It is an identifier. It does not show your level or score.
22. Should I share my number online?
No. Keep it private. Anyone with your number and date of birth could try to look up your result.
23. When is the next TOPIK in Nepal?
It had not been announced when we checked. Watch the Embassy’s notices and the official TOPIK Nepal page.
24. Does Toddle handle TOPIK registration?
No. Registration and exam administration are handled by the Embassy of Korea in Nepal and TOPIK Nepal. Toddle offers preparation classes and counselling.
